ADSL Error Messages #3
The ADSL Checker Returns the Message as Follows:
There is no data
available for this number. This could be either because this is not a BT
line or this is a new number that is not yet recognised by this checker.
If you still get this response then please send an email through the
"contact us" option on the bt.com homepage, raising this
issue, and we will investigate for you. Thank you for your interest.
What this Actually Means
This message means you could be checking a cable number such as NTL
or telewest. BT's database does not hold data on these numbers and BT
ADSL cannot be used.
It may mean that the number is new and the database has not been
updated yet, wait 24 hours and try again.
